Our hot air balloon safari adventure with Airventures Hot Air Ballooning was a remarkable experience!
The pilot with 35 years of experience did an amazing job , we felt safe & saw a lot of animals from above !!

This was a bucketlist experience !!!!! 

This was our very first hot air balloon ride, and wow — what an absolutely magical experience with AirVentures Hot Air Ballooning! From start to finish, everything was seamless, exciting, and beautifully executed.

Our pilot, Te, was phenomenal — warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging. With over 700 hours of flight experience, she made us feel completely safe and went above and beyond to ensure we had the most scenic and wildlife-rich route possible. Thanks to her expert navigation, we were lucky enough to witness a rare sighting of six rhinos, along with ostriches, wildebeest, warthogs, antelope, and zebra — a true African safari from the sky!

The flight itself was breathtaking, showcasing the natural beauty of the terrain in the soft morning light. If you’re going in winter, bundle up — especially your toes! It gets quite chilly before the sun fully rises.

To top it all off, the breakfast after the flight was the cherry on top — a perfect way to wind down and reflect on such a surreal morning.

This was truly a bucket-list experience for us, and we are already talking about doing it again. Highly, highly recommend AirVentures for anyone seeking something unforgettable!

What an amazing adventure made all the more special by a very entertaining and knowledgeable pilot Marc. He made everyone feel included and explained all about the way the winds react and how the balloon manoeuvres around. The lion picture was taken from the balloon. After an amazing trip we landed and provided with champagne which apparently is tradition!. We were then provided with an amazing breakfast in the Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa. Many thanks also has to go to Marius who meeted and greeted us and help to make it a very memorable occasion. Don’t hesitate to book it!

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our safari balloon flight! Our pilot, Té, was not only highly skilled but also funny and engaging, which made the journey even more enjoyable. Floating quietly over the landscape was breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to spot several animals—including rhinos! The landing was smooth and followed by a lovely treat: a refreshing mimosa and a delicious breakfast. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Myself and my family had an amazing experience with AirVentures. Marc our pilot was funny, highly skilled and informative. We flew over a game reserve and seen a rhino family, giraffes and some ostriches. From start to finish this experience was brilliant, one we will never forget.
